Pediatric Dentist provides treatment for children unto 13 yrs of age. All cleft lip and palate patients are between 8and12 months of age. All preventive, interceptive and corrective treatment procedures are carried out. Such treatment modalities are as follows,

1. Diet Counseling
Dietary factors exert a local or direct effect upon the dentition and oral tissues. Thus diet counseling has a profound influence on oral health and prevents a wide range of diseases.

2. Topical Application
Periodic topical application of concentrated fluoride solutions or gel is repeated used as an effective means of preventing caries (Tooth decay). Such applications are carried out regularly.

3. Pit and  Fissure Sealants
Anatomic pits and fissures of the teeth are recognized as susceptible areas for initiation of tooth decay. These areas are protected by placement of sealant.

4. Correction of  Minor Irregularities in the Developing Dentition
Irregularities in the occlusion is frequently observed and made less complicated or may be averted during the pre-school and childhood period. Such treatment aspects are
i) Avoided eruption.
ii) Space regaining / maintaining methods
iii) Habit breaking appliances etc.

5. Dental Fillings
Fillings for decayed teeth through operative procedures help to maintain the tooth and the integrity of the developing occlusion.

6. Endodontic Treatment
When the decay is deep (or a big cavity), various endodontic treatment are carried out whenever there is a good chance of responding favorable to pulp therapy procedures. Such treatment modalities are
i)  Pulpotomy
ii) Pulpectomy
iii)Pulpcapping - Direct & Indirect

7. Management of Physically and Mentally Handicapped
We perceived the physically and mentally handicapped children's needs and assume the responsibility for formulating an individual dental treatment plan for each child. Preservation of primary dentition (milk teeth) is the foundation for the permanent dentition.
